Hi everyone and Happy Spring! This is probably my favorite time of the year. Everything is blooming and there is just a feeling of new and freshness in the air. Lately, with this beautiful sunny weather, I have been craving a lot of smoothies for breakfast. They are quick and easy to put together. You can combine all types of fresh fruit and/ or veggies to give you that burst of energy and start your day with a nutritious meal you can drink! I’ve bee feeling major berry vibes so I wanted to share a recipe for one of my favorite smoothies: Very Berry Banana Smoothie
Did I mention this recipe is only 4 ingredients! The combination of berries in this smoothie is an incredible source of anti-oxidants, which have a numerous amount of health benefits, like fighting inflammation the body. I typically do not add any sugar because it really isn’t needed. The natural sweetness from the banana really helps to balances the tartness from the berries. And for an extra crunch factor I like to top mine with granola or toasted coconut. Don’t be afraid to play up the toppings!
